Privacy Policy

Snug is operated by JSJ FOAM INSULATION LTD, company number SC393501, with registered office at 9 North Kirklands Holehouse Road, Eaglesham, Glasgow, Scotland, G76 0JF. Contact support@jsjinsulationco.com. This policy explains how we handle account data, home descriptions, uploaded home photos, generated report assets, billing records, support messages, product analytics, and consent records.

Controller and contact

JSJ FOAM INSULATION LTD is the controller for account, product, support, billing-reference, and website data processed through Snug.

Use support@jsjinsulationco.com for privacy requests, billing-record questions, deletion requests, access requests, or complaints about uploaded home photos and generated assets.

Data we collect

We collect account details, email address, billing references, support messages, uploaded home photos, written home descriptions, AI prompts, generated images, generated videos, credit usage records, device and session data, cookie consent choices, and policy acceptance records.

Home photos may reveal room layout, household objects, approximate property condition, and other information about a private residence. Only upload homes you own, rent, manage, or have explicit permission to assess.

We do not ask for full card numbers, government identifiers, or professional-license documents in the standard product flow. Payment details are handled by Stripe.

Why we use data

We use your data to provide AI heat-leak visualizations, savings estimates, fix reels, seasonal animations, downloads, billing, support, abuse prevention, security, and product improvement.

We use billing references, order IDs, policy acceptance records, credit ledgers, and generated asset records to answer support requests, process refunds, prevent abuse, and respond to payment disputes.

We use aggregated, non-identifying product analytics to improve upload guidance, rendering reliability, report clarity, and pricing-page usability.

AI processing and training

Your prompts, home photos, generated reports, and generated videos are processed to provide the output you request.

Your home photos are not used to train public AI models unless you separately give explicit permission. If an AI provider offers account-level training controls, we configure the service to protect customer content where available.

Generated outputs may contain errors or uncertain visual assumptions. You should review outputs before sharing them with another person.

Sharing and processors

We use service providers for hosting, storage, authentication, analytics, payments, email, AI processing, support tooling, and security monitoring. They may process data only as needed to provide their contracted services.

Stripe processes payment, checkout, fraud-prevention, refund, dispute, tax, and verification information under its own terms and privacy notices. We do not store full card numbers.

We may disclose records if required by law, to protect users, to respond to a valid payment dispute, or to enforce these policies.

Retention

Uploaded assets and generated outputs are retained while your account needs access to them, unless you delete them or request deletion where deletion is available.

Billing, refund, tax, fraud-prevention, policy acceptance, credit ledger, and dispute-evidence records may be retained for a longer period when needed for compliance, accounting, security, or payment-network evidence.

Deletion may not remove records that we must keep for legal, tax, fraud-prevention, chargeback, or account-security reasons.

GDPR-style rights

Depending on your location, you may request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, objection, or information about how your data is processed.

Where processing depends on consent, you may withdraw consent for future processing. Withdrawal does not affect processing that occurred before withdrawal.

You may also complain to a relevant data-protection authority if you believe your privacy rights have not been respected.

California privacy rights

California residents may have rights to know, delete, correct, opt out of sale or sharing, limit use of sensitive personal information, and be free from discrimination for exercising privacy rights.

We do not sell personal information. If browser-level Global Privacy Control signals are detected and applicable, we treat them as an opt-out signal for sale or sharing where required.

Submit requests through the support email above. We may need to verify your account before acting on a request.

Children and teenagers

Snug is not directed to children under 13. Users aged 13 to 17 may use Snug only with consent from a parent or guardian.

Do not upload photos showing children, private bedrooms, school records, medical details, or other sensitive household information unless you have the right and a clear need to do so.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect account, upload, and billing-reference data. No online service can guarantee perfect security.

Contact support promptly if you believe your account, generated assets, or billing records have been accessed without permission.
